The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G in Black comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It is the top model of the Redmi Note 17 series, with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, a 9210 mAh battery with 100 W charging, a 50 MP f/1.5 camera and 4K video.

1.5K AMOLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision

The 6.83-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels at 447 ppi, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and 12-bit colour. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is built on a 4 nm process, with eight cores at up to 2.6 GHz and Adreno graphics. The LPDDR5X RAM runs at up to 6400 Mbps and the UFS 4.1 storage reads sequentially at up to 2100 MB/s, so large apps and video files open quickly. The phone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 with Circle to Search, Google Gemini and AI tools such as AI Erase Pro, AI Cutouts and AI Film.

50 MP f/1.5 camera and 4K video

The 50 MP main camera has an f/1.5 aperture, a six-element lens and optical stabilisation, which helps in low light. Next to it is an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera has 32 MP. Both the rear and front cameras record 4K video at 30 fps, and photos can also be saved in HEIF format.

9210 mAh battery and 100 W HyperCharge

The silicon-carbon battery has a typical capacity of 9210 mAh and charges at 100 W with HyperCharge, with PD3.0 support. Over a cable, the phone can charge other devices at 27 W.

The body is rated IP66 and IP68, lab-tested by Xiaomi submerged in fresh water down to 2 m for 72 hours; the maker does not recommend using it at the beach or in the pool. The phone works on 5G and takes a nano-SIM, an eSIM or even two eSIMs, and has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and an infrared blaster. The dual speakers support Dolby Atmos. It measures 163.44 x 78.27 mm, is 8.65 mm thick (8.57 mm in Cloud Blush) and weighs 225.1 g.
