Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 12GB / 512GB / Graphite

Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 — the 7.6-inch foldable, lighter than the Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 is the standard foldable of its generation: a 7.6-inch inner display that closes to the size of an ordinary phone, with a 5.5-inch cover screen. Against the Ultra it weighs 201 g instead of 215 g and costs significantly less, while keeping the same processor.

What it keeps and what it gives up against the Fold Ultra

The chip is identical, the 3 nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, as are the IP48 rating, the two 10 MP front cameras and 45 W charging. The display differs at 7.6 inches instead of 8.0, and so do the cameras: two 50 MP modules here, main and ultra wide, without the Ultra's 10 MP 3x telephoto. The battery is 4800 mAh against 5000 mAh.

Two LTPO screens at 120 Hz

The inner panel is a Foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X at 2448 x 1848 with 3000 nits peak brightness. The cover display is 5.5 inches at 1248 x 1972, a density of 428 ppi — higher than the inner screen. Both run at 120 Hz.

Built for work, not just viewing

The phone supports Samsung DeX, so it can drive a desktop on an external monitor, and includes UWB for precise accessory tracking. There is 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.x storage.
