OPPO A5m 4G 8GB / 256 GB / Dark Purple

OPPO A5m 4G phone | The 8 GB RAM and 256 GB version of the A5, with a 6000 mAh battery

The OPPO A5m 4G is the double-memory variant of the A5: 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage, instead of the 4 GB and 128 GB configuration. The rest of the hardware is identical — a 6.67-inch 90 Hz screen, a 6000 mAh battery, 45 W SUPERVOOC charging and IP65 certification — so choosing between the two comes down purely to how much memory you need.

What the extra 8 GB RAM brings

The doubled memory shows in everyday use through the number of apps that stay open in the background without reloading. If you often switch between messaging, maps, the browser and social media, the difference compared with the 4 GB variant is noticeable. If you mainly use the phone for calls and a few apps, the base variant is enough.

256 GB without a memory card

The 256 GB of storage covers years of photos and clips without having to buy a microSD card or delete things regularly. This is the second practical reason to choose this version.

Two days of battery life

The 6000 mAh battery, combined with the economical 11 nm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen1 processor and a moderate-resolution screen, typically lasts two days of use. 45 W SUPERVOOC charging greatly shortens time spent at the socket.

IP65 resistance and 50 MP camera

IP65 certification provides full protection against dust and resistance to low-pressure water jets. The 50 MP main camera with PDAF autofocus is complemented by a 2 MP sensor, and the front camera is 5 MP. The phone weighs 193 g.
