Dell Pro 15 Essential Core 3100U 8 GB / 512 GB

Dell Pro 15 Essential Core 3100U laptop | Numeric keypad and Windows 11 Pro for the office

The Dell Pro 15 Essential with Intel Core 3 100U is a no-frills office laptop: accounting, data entry, email, documents and video calls. It runs Windows 11 Pro and has a 15.6-inch matte Full HD display at 120 Hz, a 6-core processor up to 4.7 GHz, 8 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. The chassis is plastic, with a Carbon Black palm rest.

Keyboard with numeric keypad

The standard keyboard includes a numeric keypad, so you enter amounts, codes and columns of figures in spreadsheets or in your accounting software as quickly as on an office calculator. The touchpad is a Precision Touchpad. The keyboard is not backlit, and the laptop has no fingerprint reader, so bear that in mind if you often work in low light.

15.6-inch matte display, 120 Hz

The 15.6-inch IPS WVA panel, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, has an anti-glare finish: office lamps and windows reflect less than on a glossy screen. The 120 Hz rate makes scrolling through long spreadsheets smoother. The 250-nit brightness suits indoor work. The display is not a touchscreen.

HDMI, SD reader and two USB-A ports

The laptop has one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port (5 Gbps) and one USB 2.0 port for a mouse, memory sticks or a printer, plus HDMI 1.4 for a monitor or projector and an SD card reader. This configuration has no USB-C port: the laptop takes power through a dedicated barrel connector from the included 65 W AC adapter. Wi-Fi 6 2x2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth, the HD 720p camera, the microphone and the two speakers cover online meetings. The battery is 41 Wh, and the maximum weight is 1.90 kg.
