Întrebări frecvente
How does it work?
Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud — then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And itʼs efficient, so thereʼs no need to worry about battery life or data usage.
Which devices is the Apple AirTag compatible with?
The AirTag works exclusively with Apple devices: an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch signed into an iCloud account.
Locating is done through the Find My app, which is preinstalled on those devices.
There is no official Android app, so an Android phone cannot set up or track an AirTag.
What battery does the AirTag use and how long does it last?
It uses a standard CR2032 battery, the round cell also found in many remotes and watches.
Apple quotes roughly one year of life in normal use.
The battery is user-replaceable without special tools: press and twist the metal cover.
Is the AirTag water resistant?
Yes, the AirTag is IP67 rated: it resists dust and can be submerged in fresh water up to 1 metre deep for up to 30 minutes under laboratory conditions.
That covers rain or an accidental drop into a puddle.
The protection is not permanent and can degrade over time through wear.
Can someone track me with an AirTag?
Apple has built in several protections against unwanted tracking.
If an AirTag that is not yours travels with you, your iPhone shows an alert, and the tag itself starts making a sound after a period away from its owner.
Android users can install Apple Tracker Detect to manually scan for unknown devices nearby.
