Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 earbuds | ANC of up to 49 dB and two drivers in each earbud

The Redmi Buds 6 are in-ear TWS earbuds with active noise cancellation of up to 49 dB, for anyone who wants quiet on public transport and long battery life. Each earbud has two drivers — a 12.4 mm dynamic driver with a titanium diaphragm and a 5.5 mm ceramic micro piezoelectric driver — and four microphones work on calls. With the case, you get up to 42 hours of playback without ANC.

49 dB ANC and three transparency modes

Active noise cancellation reduces surrounding sound by up to 49 dB, across a 2000 Hz band. When you want to hear what is going on around you, switch to transparency mode, with three options: Normal, Enhanced voice — useful when you talk to someone without taking the earbuds out — and Enhanced ambient sound. Immersive sound (spatial audio) adds a sense of space to films and concerts.

Battery life: 42 hours without ANC, 26 with ANC

With ANC off, the earbuds last 10 hours, and with the case you get up to 42 hours; with ANC on, the figures are 6.5 and 26 hours. Ten minutes of charging gives you 4 hours of playback, and charging takes about 60 minutes for the earbuds and 2.5 hours for the case, via USB Type-C. Note: IP54 protection covers only the earbuds, not the case.

Two devices at once and calls without background noise

Bluetooth 5.4 allows simultaneous connection to two devices, and Google Fast Pair speeds up first pairing. Low-latency mode cuts the delay to about 60 ms, useful for gaming and video. The four microphones use AI ENC to reduce noise on calls. In the Xiaomi Earbuds app (iOS and Android) you customise the touch controls, and the earbuds detect when you are wearing them.
