A power bank solves the problem that arrives at exactly the wrong moment: the phone dying on the road, at an event, or during a long day away from a socket. Paired with a suitable cable it becomes a complete power solution away from home.

Because the operator is the seller, it can be added to the same order as the phone, and returns are handled in a Moldtelecom shop.

Choosing capacity and power

• Capacity (mAh) — how many times it will recharge the phone. As a guide, a 10,000 mAh bank generally covers two full charges of an ordinary phone.
• Output power (W) — decides how fast it charges. Two models of the same capacity can charge at very different speeds.
• Number of ports — useful if you also power headphones or a watch at the same time.

What power bank capacity do I need?

It depends on how long you are away from a socket, not on how expensive the phone is. A compact model covers a day in town; for long trips or camping a high-capacity one is worth it, though noticeably heavier. Usable capacity is lower than the nominal figure, as some is lost in conversion.

Why does a power bank charge more slowly than a wall socket?

Because speed comes from output power in watts, not from capacity. A high-capacity bank with a weak output charges slowly even with energy to spare. Check the wattage in the specifications alongside the mAh.
