Cables and chargers

Cables and chargers wear out first and go missing most often. Replacements for phone, tablet and laptop are here; for power on the move, see power banks.

Because the operator is the seller, they can be added to the same order as the phone, and returns are handled in a Moldtelecom shop.

Choosing correctly

  • The connector — USB-C on most recent phones, Lightning on older Apple generations. Check your phone's port before anything else.
  • Supported power — measured in watts and limited by the weakest link: cable, charger or phone.
  • Length — a short cable charges just as fast, but a two-metre one changes where you can sit with the phone plugged in.

Why does my phone charge slowly with a new cable?

Because speed is set by the weakest element in the chain. A cable not rated for the charger's power limits everything, even if it fits the port perfectly and looks identical to the original. Compare the supported wattage of the cable and the charger in both sets of specifications.

Which cable do I need: USB-C or Lightning?

It depends on the phone's port, not the brand. Most recent phones, including the latest iPhone generations, use USB-C; older Apple generations use Lightning. The port is listed in your phone's specifications.

Can I return a cable or charger?

Yes, within 14 days, at a Moldtelecom shop, free of charge and with a full refund. The full terms are in the delivery and returns policy.
